The CRC Movement

"Every child has rights. Not every child knows them."

— Sabrina Abdu | Founder RVP Consultants | Trained and Certified in Child Rights (UNICEF | USIDHR | Harvard)

Two Pillars. Built For Action.

In Every Classroom, Before Every Birth, And In Every Country On Earth.

why this movement exists

Because a right that exists on paper but never reaches a child is not a right.

The Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) has been in force since 1990. 196 countries signed it. It is the most widely ratified human rights treaty in the history of the United Nations. And yet the majority of the world's children have never heard of it. This movement exists because the gap between what governments promised and what children actually know is not just a policy failure. It is a human failure. And it is one we can fix.

Because children cannot defend rights they do not know they have

Because this is not a regional problem — it is a global one

Because the first rights violations happen at home

Because Article 42 already requires it — and nobody is enforcing it

THE FACTS

The Movement

Two pillars. Built for action.

This movement is not about awareness alone. It is about accountability, action, and building the systems that make every child's rights real-in every classroom, before every birth, and in every country on earth.

PILLAR 1 – EVERY CLASSROOM

Child Rights Must Be Taught in

Every Classroom

The CRC must be a mandatory core subject in every school worldwide — as important as reading, math, and science.

PILLAR 2 - BEFORE BIRTH

Child Rights Must Be Taught to Every Parent Before Birth

Every expecting parent must receive a mandatory CRC education as part of their prenatal care — especially first time parents.

PILLAR 3 – EVERY COUNTRY

Child Rights Are Non-Negotiable — Ratified or Not

Whether a country has ratified the CRC or not is irrelevant. Children's rights are universal. No exceptions.

MY STORY

Why this Cannot Wait

These are not opinions. These are the facts that make this movement non-negotiable.

The story of a girl who was told she would never go to college — and the document that said otherwise. ...more

WHY SABRINA ABDU

This movement is led by someone who lived the gap

Sabrina Abdu is not an academic who found a problem in the literature. She is a woman who grew up in that gap. Who was shaped by it. Who lost years of her life to it. And who has spent fifteen years building pathways for children and educators around the world; now directing all of that experience toward closing the gap permanently.
